This is my prayer for you:
that where you walk the rhymes
that where you sleep the skies
that every storm has an eye
and every year its seasons,
that your faith be the fortress
that never is torn;
though battered and beaten retains its form.
This is my prayer for you, my friend,
for you and I know that the storms will come
and we cannot find peace
unless we already have it.
I pray that you learn something new every day
and never let fear be the stone in your way,
that you love truth and walk well
and always hold fast.
You’ll have a story to tell
and leave a mark that will last.
This is my prayer for you!
