Hi, my name is Emma. I’m an amateur poet, nursing student, aspiring musician/composer, and nature lover, as well as a sister, friend, etc.
I am also currently grieving the loss of my mother, who passed away this year (2016) from cancer. Because of this, my beliefs about life and death are constantly evolving, and my faith is turning more and more into a question mark – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
This blog has been a place for me to give my poems and thoughts an audience for four years now, and while the format hasn’t changed, the content sure has, as I’ve grown up.
I hope you find something that resonates with your own life here – be it the happy-clappy kid poems, the awkwardly angular teen poems, or the more serious attempts at adult conversation. Thank you for your time.
